Your mission if you choose to accept will be the role of Host, greeting and escorting guests to tables in the restaurant while maintaining a courteous and efficient operation of the dining area to ensure guest satisfaction.


This agent's responsibilities include but are not limited to: 


1. Greet guests as they arrive, obtain information pertaining to name and reservation time, or assign available tables to walk-in guests. Ensure even distribution of tables for each server.
2. Politely escort guests to table, hand them menus, wine list, and inform them who their server will be and describe any specials, including buffet options.
3. Depart from tables with a courteous farewell. Inform server of additional guests that may be joining a table as well as provide additional table seatings when needed.
4. Receive, record, and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant.
5. Assist wait staff and bus staff as needed.
6. Assist with all to-go orders.
7. Thank all guests graciously and invite them to return.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS
1. Ability to read, speak, and write the English language, to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, and reservations.
1. Ability to recite and promote a variety of menu items.
1. Ability to move through a crowded room to seat guests.
2. Relay important reservation requests to servers.
3. Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.
4. No prior experience required.
5. Prior hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
6. Ability to multi-task.
7. Ability to work POS system.
8. Ability to self-motivate during slow periods.
9. Ability to interact with all guests in a professional manner.
10. Cash handling experience preferred.
11. Ability to inform and direct guests to events throughout the hotel.
12. Maintain condition and cleanliness of work area.
13. Clean all menus before, during and after shift.
14. Ensure proper posture is maintained while at maitred stand.
